In the desert, we see a duality, and cryst[ERR]ical is an interactive installation that brings this to life. Inspired by the two types of Desert Roses, the crystal associated with grounding and healing, and the poisonous flower known for its hallucinogenic effects, the work translates this contrast into a shifting sensory environment. The Desert Roses create an atmosphere of balance, healing and restoration that lures and captivates the viewer. But if the viewer disturbs the balance with excessive movement, the installation pivots into a more volatile state: lights glitch, sounds distort, and all three interconnected forms react collectively, surrounding the viewer in an overwhelming unstable, reactive field.

The installation focuses on making this dual nature palpable. When the viewer enters with calmness, the space holds them gently, echoing the crystal’s restorative energy. When they disrupt this quiet, the environment pushes back, revealing the flower’s toxic, reactive presence.
